Hello everyone!
I've been away for a while now. Mostly because I was dealing with getting done with my Chemical Engineering and getting started with my Media Studies. Which I managed to do successfully!
Also the past month has been spent loitering around leaving only during the night time and traveling through the pacific northwest.
Classes have started and so the only photos I'll be posting will be the ones from the trip.



For two weeks we rented a jeep (Chevy Tahoe) and starting out in San Francisco (going a little bit south for a while) we proceeded our way up to Seattle passing through Carmel, Point Sur, Pebble Beach, Occidental and Ferndale in California. Did all those sinuous scenic roads and saw the Redwood Forests and National Parks.
In Oregon we continued the coastal scenic road all the way through Gold Beach up to Bandon where we finally decided to go to Hood River and see the Columbia River Gorge, spending the night in Ashford so we could also check out Mt. Saint Helen and Mt. Rainier ending our journey of almost 3 weeks with a lunch in Portland with our favorite American before settling in Seattle.

I haven't had a proper journal update in a while.
Anyway I just want to say that later during summer I have planned this amazing visit to the States, focusing on Washington and Oregon. I've heard it's beautiful over there and so I'm finally going for a visit!

If anyone has some tips on what material I should bring with me (tripod, filters, anything really) please comment. ^^

Polaroids and Holgaroids.
Unfortunately I don't think I have the money to get one. And the film is just so hard to come by nowadays.
I came across =rawimage and he has made some nifty photoshop actions that mimic the effect of Polaroids and Holgaroids.
I know, I know... it's not the same as shooting it yourself but when you don't have the means to get some, you resort to some really well created actions that will get just that.

I think I might be going through a retro phase...
So I would like to share with you some Polaroids and Holgaroids, some are the "real" ones, the others, like mine, are obtained through software.
Doesn't matter really, they look beautiful.

Self Promotion

I'm leaving for a week of skiing and possibly pretty snow photos. Yay! I'm gonna put to good use the software Francisco got me for panoramic photos. I think it's a bit late in the season to go skiing but oh well... Hopefully the pistes will be alright and it won't be just ice all around... --;



Hey everyone. I apologize for being away... Not really away but for more than a month I had no idea what to write on my journal.
Maybe now is the time.

University is taking its toll on me. I'm not happy with my course. Not anymore and it took me 3 years to realize this. I'm thinking about changing courses although I still want to be in the engineering industry, I'm actually contemplating changing to Electro-technical and Computer Engineering.

I had my birthday in March and it was very nice. Instead of going out, we stayed home, I organized a fondue and invited my friend over since my mother was working and it was amazing.
We had so much fun, and I ended up doing the dishes until 5.30 in the morning.
My friends were the sweetest things and even got me presents after I told them I didn't want anything.
Necklaces, bracelets, PSP games, clothes and candy.

I was supposed to go skiing next Saturday, but I found out I have some lab classes that week, so now I have to talk to my mom and see how she wants to do it. We both go and I miss classes. She goes, I stay. We both stay. I wish I could go, maybe I'll ask her if she can book me a plane ticket for Wednesday night or something like that. I could go skiing and then I would be back in time for the lessons (Thursday and Friday).

My boyfriend is in Mexico. ARGH! Jealousy! xD
It's so cold lately around here. We had two weeks of intense sun and heat and now we're back to winter clothing!



On a more serious notice here, I would like to do a portrait feature, so if you can suggest me some deviations, preferably ones with no at all or few . I would appreciate it.
I already have some to put on display, but it's always nice to see your suggestions, so drop me a comment with the deviations you like if you have the time. B&W or color, both are fine.
